The team is led by a strong 38-member para athletics squad, which includes Sumit Antil, the para javelin champion from Tokyo 2020. This group alone represents nearly half of the Indian delegation and is set to compete in 12 medal events, aiming to deliver an impressive medal tally.

At the Tokyo 2020 Paralympics, India achieved unprecedented success, winning a total of 19 medals—five gold, eight silver, and six bronze. It was the most successful Paralympic campaign in the country's history. With a larger team and broader participation in various sports, India is optimistic about exceeding its previous achievements at Paris 2024. The Paris 2024 Paralympics is scheduled from August 28 to September 9 in France. The events begin as early as 1.30 OM IST. However, India's events are scheduled to begin from August 29.
