Pakistan cricketer Shahid Afridi finally reveals his real age
This means that Afridi was not 16 when he broke the record to score the fastest ODI century in 37 balls in Nairobi against Sri Lanka in 1996.

Interestingly, he has even fumbled in calculating his age even by the real year of his birth.
"I was just nineteen, and not sixteen like they claim. I was born in 1975. So yes, the authorities stated my age incorrectly," Afridi has written in his autobiography titled 'Game Changer'.
Afridi's claim that was he was 19 at that time is confusing as according to his own submission, he would be 21 if he was born in 1975.
The former Pakistan skipper---who played 27 Tests, 398 ODIs and 99 T20Is---retired from international cricket in February 2017.
