Asian Games 2026: Kamaljeet, Suruchi Singh strike India's 2nd gold in 10m air pistol at Asian Games 2026

Kamaljeet and Suruchi Inder Singh won the 10m air pistol mixed team gold at the Asian Games 2026, giving the country its second gold of the Games on Friday.

The Indian pair were in control from the start of the final at the Aichi General Shooting Range, opening with a 103.0 in the first series of Stage 1 before extending their lead through 202.4 and 303.5 in the subsequent series.

Kamaljeet and Suruchi kept up the pace in Stage 2, scoring 364.7 to stay ahead of South Korea and Iran, and pushed further clear with 424.9 after 18 shots. Indonesia were eliminated first in the four-team final, while Iran finished with 415.8 points to take bronze, leaving India and South Korea to fight for gold.

The duo carried a seven-point lead into the final stage and closed out the contest with a total score of 484.6 to seal the gold. South Korea settled for silver.

Kamaljeet and Suruchi had also topped the qualification round to secure their place in the final.

India's first gold at these Games came earlier, with the women's cricket team beating Sri Lanka in the final.
