Preeti Pawar wins Commonwealth Games 2026 gold in women's 54kg boxing
Indian boxer Preeti Pawar clinched the gold medal in the women's 54kg category at the Commonwealth Games 2026, capping a dominant campaign in Glasgow.

Preeti secured the title after advancing to the final with a commanding victory over Zambia's Catherine Mwape in the semifinals. She then defeated Canada's Scarlett Delgado in the gold medal bout on Saturday to give India a gold in boxing.

The victory adds another major title to an impressive year for the Indian boxer, who had already won the World Cup and Asian Championships crowns earlier in 2026.
