The 17-year-old prevailed 6-5 after the final match was tied at 5-5 following five sets. With the gold medal decided by a single arrow, Oh shot an 8 before Kumkum landed a perfect 10 and seal the title.

Her victory made her the first Indian woman to win a medal in the individual recurve event at the Asian Games. Kumkum had also secured an Olympic quota place for India by reaching the semifinals.
Mohod presented her remarkable performance at the tournament as she defeated China's Zhu Jingyi 6-2 in the women's individual recurve archery semifinal on Saturday, putting herself within one win of creating history.
The player had earlier stunned South Korea's world and Olympic champion Kang Chaeyoung 6-4 in the quarterfinals before producing another composed performance against Zhu, the world championship silver medallist.
Kumkum started the semifinal strongly, winning the opening set 28-27 to take a 2-0 lead. The second set ended 30-30 as both archers produced perfect scores, leaving the Indian ahead 3-1.
