Ranked 22nd in the world, Sen lost to Denmark's Axelsen 22-20, 21-14 in 54 minutes at the La Chapelle Arena. The Indian shuttler had control of the first game before faltering. He started the second game with a monumental 7-0 lead, but Axelsen roared back to win the game and advance to his second straight Olympic final.
