Navi Mumbai will host Maharashtra’s first-ever Formula night street race this December as the grand finale of the Indian Racing Festival (IRF). Racing Promotions Pvt. Ltd. (RPPL) has signed an MoU with the Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation (NMMC) in the presence of Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis.

The event will debut Mumbai’s first FIA-grade street circuit, a 3.753 km track with 14 turns running through Palm Beach Road and Nerul Lake. The floodlit circuit will join the global list of iconic street race destinations, setting a new benchmark for motorsport in India.

“The Mumbai Street Race marks a historic milestone in Maharashtra’s motorsport journey,” Fadnavis said. “It will inspire young racers, generate jobs, and boost tourism, while showcasing our capability to host world-class events.”

The weekend will feature a night-time double-header with the Indian Racing League (IRL) and the FIA-certified Formula 4 Indian Championship (F4IC). Top Indian and international drivers are expected to compete, offering fans a front-row experience of speed against Navi Mumbai’s skyline.

RPPL chairman Akhilesh Reddy said, “Mumbai, the city that never sleeps, will provide the perfect backdrop for this spectacular night race. This event elevates India’s racing heritage and showcases world-class competition at the heart of South Asia.”

Adding glamour to the grid, celebrity team owners include John Abraham (Goa Aces), Arjun Kapoor (Speed Demons Delhi), Sourav Ganguly (Kolkata Royal Tigers), Sudeep Kichcha (Kichcha’s Kings Bengaluru), Naga Chaitanya (Hyderabad Blackbirds), and Dr. Swetha Sundeep Anand (Chennai Turbo Riders).
