The pacer reached the milestone when he claimed his second wicket in the form of Abhishek Sharma, who was caught at mid wicket while trying to slog across the line. He became the 26th bowler to reach the milestone.
The 31-year-old now has 102 wickets in 97 matches an an average of just under 29 and an economy rate of 8.65. Notably, 42 of those wickets have come in the powerplay, displaying his impact early in the innings with the new ball. The the ongoing season, Siraj has taken seven wickets in four matches.
The pacer began his IPL journey with Sunrisers Hyderabad in 2017. He was picked for Rs 2.6 crore from a base price of Rs 20 lakh. He played six matches for SRH and claimed 10 wickets at an average of 21.20.
RCB signed him ahead of the 2018 season for Rs 2.20 crore. Over the next several years, Siraj became an integral part of the franchise's pace attack, taking 83 wickets in 87 matches at 31.44.
In the IPL 2025 mega auction, Siraj was picked at at Rs 12.25 crore by Gujarat Titans, a steep rise from his base price of Rs 2 crore.
Leg spinner Yuzvendra Chahal, who is currently playing for Punjab Kings, tops the list with 206 wickets under his belt.
