Arlington, Texas: Indian boxer Neeraj Goyat won a unanimous decision against Brazilian boxer Whindersson Nunes in a super-middleweight fight on Friday. The six-round, non-title bout took place at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, as part of the Jake Paul vs. Mike Tyson event.

Goyat, a WBC Asia titleholder, controlled the fight from the beginning, winning with a score of 60-54 on all three judges' scorecards. He consistently outpunched Nunes, using a variety of combinations and body shots.

The first round was a dominant display by Goyat, who overwhelmed Nunes with his explosiveness, connecing with a counter left hook and effortlessly landing punches.


Round 2 saw Goyat dominating at the start but somewhat running out of steam at in the later phase. Nunes was pushed back up against the ropes at one point.

Nunes tried to mount a comeback in the later rounds but was unable to overcome Goyat's early lead. The Brazilian was never able to find an answer for Goyat's aggression and accuracy.

From the fourth round onwards, Goyat controlled the fight. He dodged Nunes's punches and landed a powerful body shot, pushing Nunes into the corner. A combination of punches followed, showcasing Goyat's intensity. While Nunes attempted to retaliate, Goyat continued his attack with multiple punches to the head.

Goyat's dominance was evident in the fifth round. He expertly baited Nunes into an attack, responding with a flurry of punches that forced the Brazilian onto the ropes. Though Nunes landed an uppercut, Goyat answered back with one of his own and finished the round with a series of offensive maneuvers.

The final round saw Goyat maintaining his lead. Despite Nunes needing a knockout to win, Goyat’s aggression prevented any opportunity. Goyat aimed for a finishing blow with a series of punches but was unable to secure a knockout before the final bell.

This victory marks another milestone in Goyat's boxing career.
