'Mereko ek-dedh ghanta baithna padega, yeh sab family wamily ka discuss karna...': Rohit Sharma caught off-guard on mic. Watch video
India's selection committee, led by captain Rohit Sharma and selector Ajit Agarkar, announced the ODIs squad for England and the Champions Trophy. Jasprit Bumrah and Rishabh Pant return to the team, with Yashasvi Jaiswal set for his ODI debut. The...

As the two took their seats and adjusted the mics, Rohit said to Agarkar in a hushed tone that he will have to sit and discuss with the BCCI officials about the new guidelines introduced by the board about wives travelling with cricketers.
A video that quickly went viral on social media, has Rohit saying to Agarkar in his typical style, "I will have to sit (with BCI officials) for one or one and half hours after this. Will have to sit with the secretary to discuss regarding all this family and all, all are saying to me."
Earlier this week, at a meeting between BCCI, Gambhir, captain Rohit Sharma and chief selector Ajit Agarkar after the back-to-back debacles in the Test series against New Zealand and Australia, it was mentioned there should be curbs on the amount of time players spend with wives/partners on a long tour.
The fact that some players prefer to travel alone and asked for separate accommodation on tours was discussed."Players these days have their families around along with a big entourage. Some have even requested to stay in different hotels and a few have made their own travel arrangements within the country. These players are barely seen with the rest of the team. The board is contemplating restricting the length of stay for families to two weeks on a lengthy tour," a BCCI source had said.
India's squad for Champions Trophy:
Injured quick Jasprit Bumrah has been named in India's provisional 15-member squad for next month's Champions Trophy, while spinner Kuldeep Yadav is also set to return after picking up a groin issue in October.Bumrah, the highest wicket-taker in the recent test series with Australia which India lost 3-1, had back spasms during the final test in Sydney which forced him out of the match midway through.
Fast bowler Mohammed Shami, who is set to return in the T20 series against England after an ankle injury that required surgery kept him out for more than a year, remains in the squad for the eight-team, 50-over competition.
"You don’t have to talk about quality when it comes to Shami. We picked him for T20Is just to get him up to speed," Agarkar told reporters.
India, placed in Group A, begin their Champions Trophy campaign against Bangladesh on Feb. 20.
