Men's ODI WC: Nathan Lyon foresees Australia vs India final
Australian cricketer Nathan Lyon is adamant that the old rivals five-time champions Australia and Two-time winner and hosts India will meet in ICC Men's Cricket World Cup 2023 final in Ahmedabad on November 19.

Nathan Lyon, the Australian spin-bowling maestro, shared his insights on the tournament. "I honestly believe it will be an Australia vs. India final. India is the number one favourite for me, and it's been exciting to watch," he expressed on SEN 1170 Breakfast. He emphasised the potent lineup of the South African team, noting players like Rassie van der Dussen, Aiden Markram, Heinrich Klaasen, and David Miller.
Lyon acknowledged that India shoulders the weight of expectations from its passionate fan base and the entire nation. "India also has the pressure of the whole nation who are expecting them to win, and their fans are so passionate. In finals, Australia has the runs on the board, so hopefully, they can go all the way," he remarked.
Currently, the home team India leads the charts with six wins in as many games. South Africa follows closely with five wins and a single loss. New Zealand and Australia each have four wins and two losses, with the Kiwis taking the upper hand due to their net run rate. The competition is heating up, and cricket enthusiasts are eagerly awaiting the thrilling matches that lie ahead.
