The Masters Tournament, also known as The Masters or The US Masters, is one of the four major championships in professional golf. Scheduled for the first full week of April, it is the first of the majors to be played each year.

Unlike the other major championships, the Masters is held each year at the same location, Augusta National Golf Club, a private golf club in the city of Augusta, Georgia, USA. There are a great many privileges of being a Masters champion.

A player is automatically invited to play in the other three majors—the US Open, The Open Championship, and the PGA Championship (except for amateur winners)—for the next five years and earn a lifetime invitation to the Masters.

They also receive membership on the PGA Tour for the following five seasons and invitations to The Players Championship for five years. The tournament comprises four rounds, each comprising 18 holes.

Round One play commences on a Thursday, Round Two on Friday, Round Three on Saturday, and the tournament comes to an end with Round Four on Sunday.
