'I’m planning a comeback in Pro-Boxing': Mary Kom after Paris Olympics disappointment
Indian Olympic medallist boxer Mary Kom is contemplating a return to professional boxing. While speaking at the Army Sports Conclave, the boxer voiced her disappointment over India’s lack of medals at the Paris Olympics and emphasized the need for increased effort from boxers and better focus from the federation on addressing shortcomings.

Mary Kom expressed her desire to re-enter professional boxing, stating, "I am planning to make a comeback...I will try to make a comeback in pro-boxing..."

In the same event, she shared her happiness in participating in sports-promoting events but remained concerned about India's performance at the Olympics. She stated, "I feel very bad because we could not win any medal (in the Paris Olympics). I urge the boxers to work harder and the federation should focus on the shortcomings."

Earlier in July, Gagan Narang, a four-time Olympian and 2012 Olympic Games men's 10m Air Rifle bronze medalist, replaced Mary Kom as the Chef-de-Mission of the Indian contingent for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
