Manchester City onboards Veqta
BENGALURU: Veqta, the mobile based digital broadcast network (OTT) dedicated to sports, has roped in Manchester City Football Club, one of the foremost clubs in the English Premier League (EPL), to provide exclusive content on its platform.

Fans will now be able to view exclusive training sessions, behind the scenes interviews and activities with players and manager, on the app.

“We are very excited about partnering with an institution with the kind of history, legacy and success that Manchester City has. Through this partnership, football fans in India will have a truly global sports experience for the very first time,” said Vikram Tanwar, director of Veqta.

The alliance will help the Club engage with its fans in India. “Manchester City’s fan base in India is growing rapidly and it is important for us to connect with all of our supporters across the globe. By partnering with VEQTA…we have an opportunity to engage fans in the region and to provide them with meaningful content,” said Omar Berrada, Chief Operations Officer for Manchester City, in an official statement.

Veqta recently launched its Android and iOS apps. The startup provides content across cricket, football, mixed martial arts, wrestling, basketball, motorsports, tennis, badminton and Olympic sports from authentic sources.
