LSG skipper Rishabh Pant fined Rs 24 lakh for slow over-rate during 54-run loss to MI

Lucknow Super Giants skipper Rishabh Pant has been fined Rs 24 lakh for maintaining a slow over-rate during their 54-run loss to Mumbai Indians in Mumbai on Sunday.

In the match played earlier today, Mumbai Indians put up a strong show after being sent in to bat first. They posted a massive total of 215 for 7 in their 20 overs. Opener Ryan Rickelton led the charge with a fine 58 runs off 32 balls, while Suryakumar Yadav also impressed, scoring 54 runs off 28 balls.

Chasing a big target, Lucknow Super Giants struggled and were bowled out for 161 in 20 overs. Mitchell Marsh scored 34 and Ayush Badoni made 35, but their efforts were not enough to take LSG over the line.


For Mumbai Indians, Jasprit Bumrah was outstanding with the ball, picking up 4 wickets for just 22 runs. Trent Boult also made a big impact, taking 3 wickets for 20 runs.

Among LSG bowlers, Mayank Yadav and Avesh Khan were the most successful, claiming two wickets each.
