Legends League Cricket, a global T20 league featuring retired cricketing legends, has sold two new franchises to a consortium of Urbanrise Group/Trident Power and KLO Sports for a period of 10 years for $15 million each.

The Urbanrisers Hyderabad franchise will be owned by Urbanrise Group/Trident Power, and the Southern Superstars franchise has been awarded to the consortium represented by KLO Sports, which was formed by Sanjay Jupudi and Srinadh Chitoori.

The two new franchises will join the existing six franchises, which include India Capitals (GMR Sports), Gujarat Giants (Adani Sportline), Bhilwara Kings (LNJ Bhilwara Group), and Manipal Tigers (Manipal Education and Medical Group).


The Urbanrise/Alliance Group is South India's largest real estate developer, while Trident Power is backed by Andhra Pradesh politician JC Pavan Reddy. Apart from KLO Sports, the Southern Superstars have also received investment from wealthy individuals from diverse segments.

KLO Sports co-founder Sanjay Jupudi has established the US-based IT company Qentelli, serving renowned Fortune 500 clients, while Srinadh Chitoori, a third-generation businessman from Vizag, has a diverse business portfolio encompassing automobiles, construction, and real estate.
