Legends League Cricket raises Rs 39 crore funding

LLC cofounder Raman Raheja said the latest funding round values the league at Rs 350 crore. Raheja along with Vivek Khushalani holds 60% in the league, which provides retired players an opportunity to earn money by playing cricket.
Some of the players who have participated in the LLC include Kevin Pieterson, Chris Gayle, Gautam Gambhir, Irfan Pathan and Harbhajan Singh.
LLC has six franchises including India Capitals (GMR Sports), Gujarat Giants (Adani Sportline), Bhilwara Kings (LNJ Bhilwara Group), Manipal Tigers (Manipal Education and Medical Group), Urbanrisers Hyderabad (Urbanrise Group/Trident Power) and Southern Superstars (KLO Sports).
Raheja said the LLC has marquee names like Vikram Singhania of JK Group, Jayant Davar of Sandhar Tec, Sanjay Gupta of Dainik Jagran and Arvind Singhania of Esther Tech as investors.
The 2024 edition of the tournament will be held from September 11 to October 5, with India and Qatar hosting the 34 matches.
