In response to accusations of ticket black marketing for the India vs. South Africa World Cup cricket match at Eden Gardens on Sunday, Kolkata Police has issued a notice to BCCI President Roger Binny on ticket sales for the event, reported PTI citing a senior officer.

This notice, issued late on Saturday, requests Binny to provide documents regarding the sale of tickets to the investigating officer at the Maidan police station.

"A notice was sent to the BCCI president, asking him to provide relevant documents and information regarding the sale of tickets either personally or through any competent person of his organisation to the investigating officer of Maidan PS during working hours on Tuesday," the officer told PTI.

So far, Kolkata Police has made 19 arrests, confiscated 108 tickets, and initiated seven cases linked to ticket black marketing.
