Knight Riders fighting for playoff berth

Chennai would be looking to recover from their home defeat to Royal Challengers Bangalore, who kept their campaign alive with a five-wicket win.

Knight Riders fighting for playoff berth
Having won their last four, the homecoming could not have come at a better time for Kolkata Knight Riders, who will now be aiming to clinch a playoff berth, as they take on Chennai Super Kings today.

Kolkata will relish the home conditions— the slow track complemented by a raucous crowd. While Sunil Narine continues to be a vital cog, it’s the emergence of Robin Uthappa that has contributed to their revival.

In contrast, Chennai would be looking to recover from their home defeat to Royal Challengers Bangalore, who kept their campaign alive with a five-wicket win. Having won eight of 11, Chennai can afford to relax, but who would want to take that chance.

BANGALORE FACE HYDERABAD

Bangalore will look to improve their chances of getting to the playoffs against Hyderabad today. They have five wins of eleven, while the Sunrisers are one behind with four.

Bangalore have been erratic, but Yuvraj Singh, AB de Villiers and Chris Gayle have recovered some form to help their cause.

The Sunrisers will be hoping to improve their record at home, having lost all three so far. Shikhar Dhawan, Aaron Finch, David Warner or Naman Ojha will have to perform today.
