The DJ played the iconic Bollywood song Jaadu Teri Nazar linked to Chawla’s early film career. The music sparked an emotional response from the crowd and created a brief but memorable moment that overshadowed the on-field action.
Although Shah Rukh Khan was absent, Chawla’s presence in the stands provided a sense of continuity for KKR’s ownership. The crowd cheered and waved lights as the music played, celebrating her lasting connection with Indian audiences through both cinema and cricket.
Narrow victory for KKR
While the tribute to Chawla moved fans, the match itself was equally thrilling. KKR set a strong total of 206/4, with Andre Russell blasting 57 off just 25 balls.
Rajasthan Royals fought back, with Riyan Parag’s brilliant 95 almost leading them to victory. However, KKR’s tight bowling in the final over secured a tense one-run win.
"Thank God, we won. We played well. Rajasthan was playing really well. Although they did not win, they did not lose hope. They took the match to the end. So, I feel it's a congratulations to both teams. They played very well...Lots of love to all the fans. Thank you for your support. You come here and support us in the match, you wave the flags and give strength to our team. Thank you," Chawla told ANI.
"All the best to all the players in our team KKR. All our best wishes are with you," she added.

Chawla’s steady role in KKR's journey
Juhi Chawla, along with Shah Rukh Khan and Jay Mehta, co-owns the Knight Riders franchise through Knight Riders Sports Pvt Ltd, which was founded in 2008.
Red Chillies Entertainment owns 55% of the franchise, and Mehta Group holds 45%. Together, they have led KKR to IPL titles in 2012, 2014, and 2024.
