Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) are expected to consider sweeping changes as they look for their first win of the IPL 2026 season against Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) at Eden Gardens on Thursday.

KKR remain out of form, with their batting unit struggling for consistency and the bowling attack lacking impact in key moments. Mohammed Shami will be a major threat after his impressive 2/9 spell against Sunrisers Hyderabad, where he dismissed Abhishek Sharma and Travis Head. With conditions expected to assist seam movement, he could once again trouble KKR’s top order.

KKR were under pressure in their previous match against Punjab Kings as well, slipping to 16/2 before rain forced a washout. Weather could again play a role, although a late start may reduce disruptions.
