Jay Kowli nominated by AIBA for IOC athletes' forum
Kowli is the only person in AIBA to have been given this responsibility for three successive terms: 2006-2010, 2010- 2014 and 2014-2018.

"We are pleased to confirm that you have been nominated by AIBA to participate in the 7th IOC International Athletes' & Youth Forum. We are delighted to invite you to attend the Forum in Lausanne from October 8 to 11, 2015," he has been informed by the Coordination Officer, Commissions and Projects, Sports Department of the International Olympic Committee.
"The Forum presents a great opportunity for you to discuss important athlete & youth-related topics with your peers and IOC Athletes' Commission members," the communication added.
Kowli is the only person in AIBA to have been given this responsibility for three successive terms: 2006-2010, 2010- 2014 and 2014-2018, a media release from Maharashtra Boxing Association stated.
Kowli, an Olympic referee/judge, was initially entrusted with the responsibility of only the Youth Commission.
"After seeing his running of Youth Commission during 2006-2010 tenure single-handedly, AIBA merged its Athletes Commission with Youth Commission and entrusted the additional task of addressing world's young boxers' issues - from across 190 countries around the world - to his team," the release said.
He now runs AIBA's A&Y Commission with Kazak Olympian Serik Konakbatev (Vice President of Kazakhstan) as its head and 16 others making it a total of 18 countries taking part, it added.
