Kishan smashed a breathtaking 33-ball century for Jharkhand against Karnataka on Wednesday, registering the second-fastest hundred by an Indian in List A cricket.

He missed the national record by just one ball, with Bihar captain Sakibul Gani having earlier reached his century in 32 deliveries against Arunachal Pradesh. Kishan went on to score 125 off only 39 balls, striking seven fours and 14 sixes at a staggering strike rate of 320.51, powering Jharkhand to a mammoth 412/9 in 50 overs.

Ishan Kishan’s Vijay Hazare Trophy knock vs Karnataka

Karnataka opted to field after winning the toss, and Jharkhand had a shaky beginning with early losses of Utkarsh Singh and Shubh Sharma. Shikhar Mohan contributed 44 before departing, while a crucial 129-run stand between Virat Singh (88) and Kumar Kushagra (63) stabilised the innings. Kishan then took charge at the death, unleashing an explosive finishing assault that left the Karnataka attack searching for answers.
