IPL spot-fixing: SC names Srinivasan, Raj Kundra, Gurunath Meiyappan and Sundar Raman

NEW DELHI: Supreme Court on Friday ordered non-disclosure of names of the players who have been indicted in the Mudgal Committee report. It directed that findings of Justice Mudgal committee report on non-cricketers be disclosed.

The court directed that reports regarding N Srinivasan, Gurunath Meiyappan, Raj Kundra and Sundar Raman be disclosed. Supreme Court said that the copy of the report be provided to BCCI, Srinivasan and other non-players. The court has also asked BCCI, Srinivasan and other non-players who are named in the report to file their objections within four days of the receipt.

"Certain findings recorded by committee are understood to have indicted some individuals whose conduct has been investigated. We have seen the report and it did suggest some misdemeanour on part of certain individuals," the apex court said.

Earlier this week, senior advocate Harish Salve, appearing for the Cricket Association of Bihar on whose plea the apex court had ordered probe against Srinivasan and 12 other capped cricketers in the scandal, submitted that the BCCI chief had tried to cover-up the role of his son-in-law and he should not be allowed to contest election for the post of President of the Board.

Salve had said the committee report should be made public but it was opposed by Sibal saying that in the interest of the game the entire report be not made public.

Senior advocate Raju Ramachandran, appearing for the Mudgal committee, had submitted that the 35-page report does not name any player and they are referred as numbers whose key is there in a separate report.

The bench, after hearing all the sides, had adjourned the case for November 14 when it will go through the report.
