IPL Auction: New Zealand opener Finn Allen
New Zealand batter Finn Allen generated strong interest at the IPL Auction and was sold to Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) for ₹2 crore following intense bidding, underlining the strong demand for explosive and versatile top-order batters in the T20 format.

Finn Allen’s IPL journey has been short and opportunity-limited. The New Zealand batter was first picked by Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in 2021 as a replacement player and remained part of the franchise’s squad through the 2022 season, which is when he made his on-field appearances.
