Starting at a mere 20 lakh, the bidding for Dubey skyrocketed, eventually landing him in the grasp of the Rajasthan Royals for a staggering 5.80 crore. Notably, Dubey had previously played for the Mumbai Indians, adding to the anticipation surrounding his acquisition.
Sameer Rizvi from Uttar Pradesh was another player who commanded substantial attention. With a base price of 20 lakh, Rizvi became the subject of a spirited tussle between Chennai Super Kings and Gujarat Titans, culminating in an impressive 8.50 crore deal with CSK.
Among other uncapped players, Shahrukh Khan became a highlight as his bidding crossed the 7 crore mark, finally landing him with the Gujarat Titans. As the Kings took a moment at 6.20 crore, the Titans pressed on, eventually securing Shahrukh Khan for an impressive Rs 7.40 crore, adding another thrilling chapter to the IPL auction saga.
However, several players including Hrithik Shokeen, Atit Sheth, Vivrant Sharma, Raj Angad Bawa, Sarfaraz Khan, Arshad Khan, Manan Vohra, Priyansh Arya, Saurav Chuahan, and Rohan Kunnummal remained unsold in this category.
