After Shubman Gill's sensational hundred, Mumbai Indians has a special message for Gujarat Titans opener

Gujarat Titans opener Shubman Gill made a sensational hundred to help his side post a mammoth target off 233 against Mumbai Indians. Shubman Gill made 129 runs off just 60 balls, his third hundred plus knock of the season. Mumbai Indians skipper congratulated Gill when he accomplished the hundred in just 49 balls. "That was some knock by Shubman Gill. Batted like a champ," Mumbai Indians tweeted.

Shubman Gill hit 10 sixes and four fours in his breathtaking knock. He is the top scorer in this season's IPL so far, making 851 runs in 16 innings at an average of 60.78 and strike rate of 156.43.


Earlier today, Mumbai Indians skipper Rohit Sharma won the toss and elected to bowl first against holders Gujarat Titans in the final playoff in the IPL in Ahmedabad. The winner of the match will meet Chennai Super Kings in the final on Sunday at the same venue - the world's biggest cricket stadium. A spell of rain delayed the toss.

Table-toppers Gujarat, who had a fairytale debut season last year when they won the title in front of their home crowd, have got a second shot at making the final after they lost the first playoff to Chennai.

Gill first stitched 54 runs for the opening wicket with Wriddhiman Saha (18) before sharing 138 runs for the second wicket with Sai Sudarshan (43 retired hurt). Towards the end, skipper Hardik Pandya made a 13-ball 28 to prop up GT's score.
