IPL 2026 Akash Deep
Ahead of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026, Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) on Tuesday announced player replacements for the tournament.

KKR has picked Saurabh Dubey to replace Akash Deep due to a lumbar stress injury. Deep is a right-arm pacer, who has played 10 Tests for India, scalping 28 wickets. He will now be under the care of the BCCI Medical Team at the BCCI Centre of Excellence (COE) in Bengaluru for further management of his injury.

Saurabh, a left-arm pacer, will will join KKR for Rs 30 lakh.

SRH has picked David Payne as a replacement of Jack Edwards due to an injury. Payne has played one ODI for England, in addition to 233 T20s, scalping 304 wickets from the same. He will join SRH for Rs 1.5 crore.

The IPL 2026 tournament begins on March 28 with the battle between the defending champions Royal Challengers Bengaluru hosting Sunrisers Hyderabad at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium.
