Sunrisers Hyderabad slumped further after suffering their fourth consecutive defeat in IPL 2025 against Gujarat Titans at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, Hyderabad on Sunday.

The hosts, asked to bat first, could manage to score only 152/8 in 20 overs as Mohammed Siraj picked up his career best figures of 4/17 in four overs. Prasidh Krishna and Sai Kishore grabbed a couple of wickets each.

For SRH, Nitish Reddy scored 31 runs, but in 33 balls, while Heinrich Klaasen scored 27 runs off 19 balls. Captain Pat Cummins scored a few meaty blows towards the end of the innings and reamained unbeaten on 22 off just nine balls. His cameo helped the team to cross 150, in an otherwise sorry batting display.

Chasing the modest target, GT got off to a horror start as they lost in-form batters Sai Sudharsan and Jos Buttler inside the powerplay. However, Washington Sundar, playing his first match of the season, counter-attacked and smashed his way to a career best score of 49 runs off just 29 balls, including five fours and two sixes. He was dismissed by a stunning catch by Aniket Verma at deep point. Captain Shubman Gill played a composed innings and remained unbeaten on 61 runs off 43 balls, smashing nine fours. Sherfane Rutherford finished the innings in a hurry as he remained not out on 35 runs off only 16 balls, including six fours and a six.

SRH, who have a tough task from here on, face the formidable Punjab Kings at the same venue on April 12. GT, on the other hand, are fresh from two consecutive victories and will face Rajasthan Royals at Ahmedabad on April 9.
