Royal Challengers Bengaluru shot Punjab Kings out for just 101 runs in the Qualifier 1 at the Mullanpur Stadium on Thursday.

It was a no show with the bat for PBKS as they started losing wickets in the second over when Priyansh Arya gave a simple catch off Yash Dayal's bowling. The team lost three more wickets inside the powerplay and were reduced to 50/5 in the seventh over.

The wickets kept falling as Josh Hazlewood, who came back after missing four matches, picked up three wickets. Spiner Suyas Sharma, who had been expensive in the last two matches also picked up three wickets, while Yash Dayal ended with two wickets to his name. Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Roamario Shephard also got a wicket each.


For PBKS, Marcus Stoinis top scored with 26 runs off 17 balls, including two fours and as many sixes. Azmatullah Omarzai and Prabhsimran Singh got 18 runs each. None of the other batters could manage to reach double figures.

This was the joint third-lowest total in an IPL Playoff match.
