As the IPL 2025 season draws closer, IPL teams are ramping up their sponsorship deals with major brands. Punjab Kings and Mumbai Indians have both secured significant partnerships, marking the growing trend of high-value sponsorships in Indian cricket.

The Punjab Kings on Tuesday announced Kshema General Insurance as their "Official General Insurance Partner" for the upcoming season. Kshema, a fully digital insurance provider, will have its logo featured prominently on the team’s playing and practice kits.

Additionally, Kshema will introduce the exclusive digital initiative "Kshema Secure Hands," aimed at engaging fans by showcasing the best fielding efforts from Punjab Kings players. This initiative reflects Kshema’s core values of trust, reliability, and protection, while offering the brand an opportunity to engage with cricket fans across India.

Bhaskar Thakur, CMO of Kshema General Insurance, expressed excitement over the partnership, stating, "Punjab Kings’ deep connection to its roots and their exciting brand of cricket make them a natural fit for us as we aim to provide innovative insurance solutions." He further emphasized the partnership’s potential to raise awareness about insurance products and build an emotional connection with fans.

Satish Menon, CEO of Punjab Kings, also welcomed the collaboration, noting, "This partnership will create meaningful opportunities for both brands and foster mutual growth."

Meanwhile, Mumbai Indians have sealed a three-year sponsorship deal with Lauritz Knudsen, which will see the company’s logo featured on the front of their jersey. Estimated to be worth Rs 40 crore annually, this deal is one of the largest front-of-jersey sponsorship agreements in IPL history.

In addition to these major sponsorships, ET earlier reported that Chennai Super Kings is exploring expansion plans, including the potential for the CSK brand to participate in the Women’s Premier League (WPL). Under the leadership of Rupa Gurunath, CSK is looking to grow its presence through more coaching centers, fan engagement activities, and increased revenue from sponsorships and merchandise.

With IPL 2025 fast approaching, these strategic partnerships and the growing value of sponsorship deals signal a new era of business for the league, as brands increasingly recognize the value of aligning with top cricket teams.
