After ending a decade-long playoff drought, Punjab Kings are riding a wave of momentum and aiming for their first top-two finish in 11 years when they face Delhi Capitals on Saturday. The last time Punjab reached these heights was back in 2014 when they finished as runners-up.

Bolstered by the arrival of their overseas players — Marcus Stoinis, Josh Inglis, Aaron Hardie, and Kyle Jamieson — Punjab’s strong Indian core looks ready to challenge for a maiden IPL title. All four overseas stars are fit and expected to feature as PBKS seek a crucial win over Delhi at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur.

Delhi Capitals, out of playoff contention after a heavy defeat to Mumbai Indians, enter this game with little to lose and may give some youngsters a chance to shine. Their skipper Axar Patel’s availability remains uncertain, and if he is sidelined, Faf du Plessis will continue to lead the side.
