Korbo, Lorbo, Jeetbo done right
The pace duo of Mitchell Starc and Andre Russell caused devastation with a magical performance as Kolkata Knight Riders dismantled Sunrisers Hyderabad, with the latter getting all out at just 113 in 18.3 overs. KKR chased 114 runs as Rahmanullah Gurbaz and Venkatesh Iyer chased the runs like no big deal. KKR won by eight wickets, as they reduced SRH to the lowest total ever made in an IPL final.

Captain and the superstar
When skipper Shreyas came in, the 'Chak De India' song started blaring from the speakers and by the time it ended, Shah Rukh Khan, who had hid emotions behind a mask all the while, went down to join his boys in celebration as his team won. The two later posed for a perfect picture together.

The winning moment
KKR's run chase seemed nothing but as smooth as a cakewalk, losing only two wickets - of Sunil Narine who got caught on his second ball after smashing a six, and Gurbaz who kept the runs steady by scoring 39. As the Iyer duo of Venkatesh and Shreyas hit the winning runs, celebrations followed.

Lifting the cup after a decade
The Knights lifted the elusive trophy after 10 whole years. In 2014, KKR won its second IPL title under the captaincy of Gautam Gambhir, who is now the beloved mentor of the team. In 2012, at this very ground, Gambhir had stamped his credentials as an astute skipper leading KKR to their maiden title.

KKR kind of (k)night
After being crowned the champions, KKR registered the record of the fewest defeats for a team in a single edition of the tournament. In IPL 2024, the Kolkata-based franchise conceded only three defeats. Shreyas Iyer's side lost only against Chennai Super Kings (CSK), Punjab Kings (PBKS), and Rajasthan Royals (RR). Earlier, Rajasthan Royals conceded three losses in the 2008 season and held the record for the fewest defeats for a team in an IPL season.
