A total of 893 cadets from the five squadrons of the Indian Naval Academy participated in the Inter-Squadron Cross-Country championship for Autumn Term 2015.

KOZHIKODE: A total of 893 cadets from the five squadrons of the Indian Naval Academy participated in the Inter-Squadron Cross-Country championship for Autumn Term 2015, at nearby Ezhimala today.

Vice Admiral P Ajit Kumar, Commandant, INA, flagged off the championship in which the trainees ran a course of 12.5 km across the varied terrains of Ezhimala, including a beach stretch of about two km and and one metre deep water obstacle of 200 metre, a release from the academy's PRO said.

Eagle Squadron emerged victors in the championship, while its Cadet Avishek Deep secured the first position, clocking 46.05 minutes, it said.
