India vs New Zealand: Skipper Rohit Sharma smashes crucial half-century against NZ in CT finals

Amid conversations regarding Hitman's capabilities, skipper Rohit Sharma smashed a much needed half-century in the ongoing Champions Trophy finale against New Zealand on Sunday in Dubai.

The skipper powered to his half-century in only 41 balls as India reached past 50 within eight overs.

Half-centuries from Daryl Mitchell and Michael Bracewell steered New Zealand to 251-7 after India's spinners called the shots in the final of the Champions Trophy on Sunday.


The Black Caps won the toss and elected to bat first in Dubai after they suffered an early blow when fast bowler Matt Henry missed out due to a shoulder injury.

New Zealand openers started cautiously before previous-match hero Rachin Ravindra took on the bowling attack.
