India will face Netherlands at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Wednesday, aiming to enter the Super 8 stage of the T20 World Cup 2026 unbeaten. The defending champions have won all three of their matches so far and remain firm favourites in the tournament.

India’s most recent outing against Pakistan carried significant stakes despite having little impact on qualification or Super 8 matchups. A defeat in such a high-profile encounter could have had consequences beyond the tournament, but India secured victory to reinforce their dominance. While they have been commanding in all three matches, the team is yet to fully display its most explosive brand of cricket.

This will be the first time India and Netherlands meet in a T20I at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. The toss is scheduled to take place at 6:30 PM IST.

IND vs NED Narendra Modi Stadium pitch report

The Ahmedabad surface has continued its reputation as a high-scoring venue, particularly in night matches. The pitch has provided considerable assistance to stroke-makers, and batters have largely enjoyed the conditions in the two evening games played at the venue in this tournament.

However, despite the batting-friendly nature of the surface, teams have experienced dramatic collapses at crucial stages. In one such instance, a side finished on 175 after losing momentum, a total that proved well below par on this ground and insufficient to mount a serious challenge.

IND vs NED World Cup 2026 today Ahmedabad weather update

Dew is unlikely to pose a significant challenge for bowlers as humidity stands at 29 per cent. A gentle wind of around 10 km/hr is expected to ease the heat, ensuring pleasant conditions for players and spectators.
