India vs Ireland T20 World Cup Highlights: India thrashes Ireland by 8 wickets in Group A match
India defeated Ireland in the T20 World Cup match in New York, USA, with a strong bowling performance restricting Ireland to 96 runs.

After winning the toss, skipper Rohit Sharma decided to bowl first. The experienced Indian bowling unit kept taking wickets right from the word go and restricted the Ireland team to just 96 runs. The Ireland team could not even play for 20 overs and got all out in 16 overs.
Indian bowlers struck early in the match with Arshdeep taking two wickets in the first over itself. Ireland kept losing wickets at regular interval, losing six wickets for just 49 runs in under 10 over. Wickets kept falling at regular intervals and the team got all out in just 16 overs, not even able to cross the 100 mark.
Only three batsman of Ireland team were able to post two digit scores with Gareth Delany being the top scorer at 26. All Indian bowlers, barring Jadeja, were among wicket takers. Hardik Pandya took three wickets while Arshdeep Singh took two. Siraj and Axar Patel took one wicket each while Bumrah took two.
For India, Captain Rohit Sharma top-scored with a 37-ball 52 before he retired hurt while wicketkeeper-batter Rishabh Pant chipped in with 36 not out off 26 balls as India chased down the target of 97 with 46 balls to spare.
