India Vs Australia: Jasprit Bumrah leaves stadium for scans after discomfort, Kohli leads India in Sydney
India suffered a major blow on Saturday as captain and pace spearhead Jasprit Bumrah left the stadium for precautionary scans after feeling discomfort following just one over in the post-lunch session of Day 2 of the fifth Test. With Bumrah out of the stadium, Virat Kohli stepped in as the stand-in captain.

Bumrah, who has already claimed 32 wickets in the series, had figures of 2/33 from 10 overs, including the key scalp of Marnus Labuschagne in the morning session.

After bowling one over in his post-lunch spell, Bumrah was seen feeling some discomfort which appeared side strain.

He spoke to Kohli and left the field and then official broadcasters showed him leaving the venue with team's security liaison officer Anshuman Upadhyay and team doctor.

The Fox Sports visuals showed him leaving the stadium in a SUV.

Later, Bumrah returned to the dressing room after undergoing precautionary scans. He was away from the field for three hours and 20 minutes in total, but his return might have eased worries in the Indian camp ahead of Australia's second innings.
