India's Men in Blue secured their place as the team with the most victories in the T20I format after defeating Australia on Friday. The team created history by surpassing its arch-rival neighbour, Pakistan.

India knocked out Australia in the recent T20I match with a fabulous win with 20 runs. This win not only sealed the five-match series 3-1 in favor of India but also marked their 136th win in the format.

India in T20 format:

Out of 213 matches played by 'Men in Blue', they have won 136, lost 67, and one ended in a tie. Three matches were abandoned. India's win percentage in the format stands at 63.84. With this milestone, they surpassed Pakistan, who have 135 wins in 226 matches.

Turning to the match, Australia won the toss and chose to field. India's batting performance was impressive, with valuable contributions from Yashasvi Jaiswal (37 off 28 balls, including six fours and a six), Ruturaj Gaikwad (32 off 28 balls, including three fours and a six), Rinku Singh (46 off 29 balls, including four boundaries and two sixes), and Jitesh Sharma (35 off 19 balls). As a result, India reached a total of 174/9 in 20 overs.

Australia gave a tough fight with its powerful bowling line up. Ben Dwarshuis (3/40) showcased his bowling skills in his second T20I appearance. Tanveer Sangha (2/30) and Jason Behrendorff also made notable contributions with the ball. Aaron Hardie also claimed a wicket.

In pursuit of 175 runs, Australia had a promising start with Travis Head scoring 31 off 16 balls, including five fours and a six.

Australia came close to winning line but fell short by 20 runs in the end. Axar Patel (3/16) and Ravi Bishnoi (1/17) skillfully controlled the run flow with their spin bowling, while Deepak Chahar took 2/44. Avesh Khan also claimed a wicket. India has now secured the series 3-1 with one match remaining.
