India suffer twin blow as Nitish Kumar Reddy, Arshdeep Singh ruled out of 4th Test against England
India's Test series against England faces setbacks as Nitish Reddy is sidelined with a knee injury, ruling him out of the remaining matches. Arshdeep Singh is unavailable for the fourth Test due to a thumb injury sustained during practice. Akash D...

"All-rounder Nitish Kumar Reddy has been ruled out of the remaining two Tests owing to a left knee injury. Nitish will fly back home and the team wishes him a speedy recovery," the BCCI said in a statement.
Arshdeep Singh has been ruled out of the fourth Test against England at Manchester. He sustained an impact injury to his left thumb while bowling in the nets at a training session in Beckenham. The BCCI Medical Team is monitoring his progress," the statement added.
Furthermore, reports suggest that Akash Deep is also dealing with a niggle. Uncapped pacer Anshul Kamboj has been added to the squad ahead of the fourth Test in Manchester as a coverup.
In the previous two Test matches, India depended on allrounders in Nitish Kumar Reddy and Washington for the balance of the playing 11.
With two Tests remaining, they were expected to play a bigger role than just being the support wheels. Backup wicketkeeper-batter Dhruv Jurel may also have to be ready as Pant’s recovery from an index finger injury is also being monitored everyday.
Assistant Coach Ryan ten Doeschate on Thursday claimed Jurel is being kept ready in case Pant doesn’t recover enough to keep wickets here.
“It’s giving as much attention and care to the guys who aren’t playing as they are playing. Making sure they get quality practice between tests. Talking to them about why we are going with the combinations we’re not going with and hoping that they’re in the right frame of mind and obviously physically and technically ready to play Test cricket when their chance comes,” ten Doeschate said on Thursday.
