Rachin Ravindra scored 134 runs as New Zealand posted 402 in their first innings, leading India by 356 runs on the third day of the opening Test. New Zealand's strong total came after India was bowled out for just 46 in their first innings. Ravindra faced 157 balls, hitting 13 fours and four sixes. Tim Southee contributed 65 runs, forming a crucial partnership of 137 runs for the eighth wicket with Ravindra.
