IND vs ENG 3rd T20: India slump to record 125-run defeat against England

England registered their T20I victory over India, securing a record 125-run win in the third match of the series at Nottingham on Tuesday.

After being asked to bat first, England posted a formidable 201/7 in 20 overs. Opener Philip Salt led the charge with a brilliant 70 off 44 balls, hitting seven fours and three sixes. Jos Buttler contributed 36, while Sam Curran remained unbeaten on 41 to help England finish strongly.

For India, Harshit Rana (2/40) and Prince Yadav (2/30) were the pick of the bowlers, claiming two wickets each.


In reply, India suffered a dramatic batting collapse and were bowled out well short of the target, handing England a comprehensive 125-run victory. The defeat is India's heaviest by margin of runs in T20 internationals.

T20 world champions India collapsed to 76 all out inside 12 overs chasing a target of 202 as England went 2-0 up in a five-match series. The margin of defeat surpassed India's record run-loss in a T20, an 80-run defeat by New Zealand at Wellington in 2019.
