India jumps 26 spots in latest FIFA rankings
The surge is a result of the first round win over Nepal in the joint qualifiers for the 2018 World Cup and 2019 Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Asian Cup.

2014 World Cup winners Germany remained on pole position followed by runners-up Argentina. Brazil moved a spot to No. 5 after their impressive form under coach Dunga, winning 3-1 against France and 1-0 over Chile in friendly international matches. Bhutan are the best mover, jumping 46 spots to 163rd position from 208th. The worst mover has been New Caledonia who’ve moved 23 spots to 174th from 153rd position. The next Fifa ranking announcement will be made on May 7.
