India gets three quick wickets; Australia 145/3 at Tea in Perth test
After a strong start in the morning session, Australia lost three quick wickets in the post-lunch session of the second test against India on Friday. Australia was 145/3 when tea was called. Peter Handscomb was playing at 4 and Shaun Marsh was at 8.

After an ordinary morning session, India came back strongly by getting three quick Australian wickets including both openers Aaron Finch and Marcus Harris. Australian openers got out after scoring fifties and a century opening stand.

Indian bowlers finally got their line and length on the green-top surface. Bumrah bowled a fiery spell and got the breakthrough in his first over post-lunch. Indian bowlers kept applying pressure and Khawaja got out on a lazy shot.

Indian part-time bowler Hanuma Vihari dismissed well-set Marcus Harris who got out on 70.

Earlier in the day Australia captain Tim Paine decided to bat first on a greenish wicket. But only a couple of leg before appeals against Finch and a minor run out scare against Harris were the only times when the batsmen were somewhat troubled by the Indian bowlers, who were finding it difficult to maintain a consistent line and length.

Forced to go in with an all pace attack due to a minor injury to star off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin, the Indian bowlers seemed a bit jaded after their exertions in the last match.

Both Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammed Shami were down on pace and struggled at times to maintain line and length.

Brief scores: Australia 145/3 in 53 overs (Harris 70, Finch 50; Bumrah 1/29, Yadav 1/48, Vihari 1/10).
