India at Paralympics, Day 5 schedule: Sheetal Devi, Sumit Antil in action today

The Indian Paralympics contingent has a shot at as many as eleven medals on the fifth day of the marquee tournament in various events of archery, shooting, badminton and para athletics.

Star archer Sheetal Devi and reigning Paralympic champion in javelin throw, Sumit Antil, will be the key para athletes to watch out for on Monday.

India had a cracking day four after Nishad Kumar and Preethi Pal managed to clinch two medals to end the day at Paris Paralympics on a high.

India, so far, has won seven medals at the Paris Paralympics 2024 which includes a gold, two silver and four bronze medals.

Notably, the badminton events will feature several key matches for Indian players. At 1:40 PM, the Mixed Doubles SH6 Bronze Medal Match will take place, with the Indian pair Sivarajan Solaimalai and Nithya Sumathy Sivan facing Indonesia's Subhan and Marlina.

The excitement continues at 3:30 PM when Nitesh Kumar competes in the Men's Singles SL3 Gold Medal Match against Great Britain's Bethell Daniel.

Later in the evening, Suhas Lalinakere Yathiraj will take on France's Lucas Mazur in the Men's Singles SL4 Gold Medal Match at 9:40 PM.

Meanwhile, in another SL4 category match, Sukant Kadam will battle Indonesia's Fredy Setiawan for the Bronze Medal at 9:45 PM.
