Ind vs NZ ODI squad announcement
India and New Zealand are set for a busy start to the new year, with the two teams locking horns in an eight-match limited-overs series from January 11 to January 31. The tour includes three One-Day Internationals (ODIs) and five Twenty20 Internationals (T20Is), to be played across multiple Indian cities.

The series comes at a crucial time for Indian cricket. Senior players are expected to return to the ODI setup, while the T20 side uses the games to fine-tune combinations ahead of the ICC T20 World Cup 2026, which begins on February 7 in India and Sri Lanka.

This home series is more than just another bilateral contest. The ODI matches are likely to see the return of experienced campaigners Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma to the 50-over format after the South Africa series. Their comeback adds weight to the ODI leg and draws added attention from fans and selectors alike.

On the T20 front, the focus shifts to preparation mode. With the World Cup around the corner, every game becomes a test run, especially for players pushing for a final spot in the squad.

Ind vs NZ ODI Squad Announcement

While the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has already announced the T20I squad for the series, the ODI squad is still awaited. The selection committee is likely to hold an online meeting around January 3 or 4 to finalise the team for the home ODIs.

New Zealand, meanwhile, have already named both their ODI and T20I squads for the tour.
