Sanju Samson smashed the second fastest century by an Indian as the hosts put on the second highest T20I score. The Kerala batter crossed his triple-figure mark in a mere 40 balls as he finished with 111 off 47 balls with eight sixes and 11 fours. He put on 173 runs from 70 balls with skipper Suryakumar Yadav, who himself scored a 35-ball 75. His knock included eight fours and five sixes.
The duo joined hands when Abhishek Sharma got out in the third over. They put on 173 runs of just 70 balls for the second wicket and broke several records in the process.

Towards the end, Hardik Pandya scored 47 off 18 balls, which included four sixes and four fours. Riyan Parag, too, chipped in with 34 off 13 balls, laced with four sixes and a four. The Bangladeshi bowlers were punished as the pair put on 70 runs of only 26 balls. for the fourth wicket.
It was a horror day for the Bangladeshi bowlers, with none of them going under 10 an over. Tanzim Hasan Sakib picked up two wickets in the last over, preventing 300. He finished with 3/66 in four overs. As many as three bowlers went for above 50 runs in the innings.
Chasing the mammoth target, Bangladesh got to the worst possible start after losing a wicket of the first ball of the innings. However, the visitors managed to reach 164/7 in 20 overs as Litton Das scored 42 off 25 balls and Towhid Hridoy got an unbeaten 63 off 42 balls. Ravi Bishnoi was the pick of the bowlers for India with 3/30, while Mayank Yadav got a couple of wickets.
