Rishabh Pant's banter and fun comments have once again been captured on the stump mic, proving the cricket fans right that the wicketkeeper loves it.

Rishabh Pant and Nathan Lyon added a touch of humor to the opening day of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy Test in Perth as a light-hearted exchange between the two was picked up on the stump microphone.

The banter revolved around the upcoming IPL auction, where Pant, surprisingly not retained by Delhi Capitals, is expected to spark intense bidding wars.


As Pant attempted to stabilize India’s innings after an early collapse, Lyon cheekily asked, “Where we’re going in the auction?” Without breaking his stride, Pant replied curtly, “No idea.”


The witty exchange brought a moment of levity to an otherwise grim day for India.

One among the high-profile players listed to under the hammer at the auction, Pant, is expected to have teams like Punjab Kings, Lucknow Super Giants, Chennai Super Kings and Royal Challengers Bengaluru, bid heavily for him.

The auctions are scheduled to be held on November 24-25 in Jeddah.

Pant managed a 59-ball 37, partnering debutant Nitish Reddy, who impressed with a top score of 41. However, India's batting crumbled under Australia's bowling attack, managing only 150.

Josh Hazlewood shone with figures of 4/29, ably supported by Mitchell Starc, Pat Cummins, and Mitchell Marsh, who bagged two wickets each.

India is off to a spirited bowling spell to counter Australia in this much-anticipated five-Test series.
