The ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2026 is set to begin from June 12, 2026, with hosts England set to take on Sri Lanka in the opening match at Edgbaston.

The tournament will run from June 12 to July 5 and will feature 12 teams for the first time in its history.

India will open their campaign against Pakistan on June 14 at Edgbaston in one of the most anticipated matches of the group stage. Australia face South Africa on June 13, while Ireland and Scotland clash in an all-European fixture at Old Trafford the same day.

The 10th edition of the global event will conclude with the final at Lord’s Cricket Ground in London on July 5. The expanded format marks the biggest field in the competition so far, with four teams, Bangladesh, Ireland, Scotland and the Netherlands, qualifying through the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup Qualifier in Nepal last month.

Defending champions New Zealand return alongside six-time winners Australia, 2016 champions West Indies, inaugural winners England, ODI world champions India, South Africa and Pakistan.
