ICC T20 World Cup 2026 Semifinals and Finals: How the Knockout Stage Will Be Decided

Sri Lanka will get a home semifinal only if Pakistan also make it to the final four. If Sri Lanka qualify but Pakistan do not, then Sri Lanka’s semifinal will be played in Kolkata as the first semifinal. If India also reach the last four and are set to face Sri Lanka, that match will instead be held in Mumbai as the second semifinal.
If India and Pakistan both qualify and are scheduled to meet in the semifinals, the tie will take place in Colombo as the first semifinal. If both Pakistan and Sri Lanka miss out on the final four, the first semifinal will be played in Kolkata and the second in Mumbai.
